I think your article is very good, I also agree with Yao Ming and Jeremy Lin is Chinese basketball icons. They changed the view of american that Asians can not play basketball , I think they are great players.
I really like your paper that contains almost all kinds of Chinese popular cultures we studied in class, such as Confucius, Buddhism, popular folk tales, popular Chinese films, “Guo Jingming phenomenon”, “Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon”, etc. I also agree with your point that Western ideas of the individual and Eastern notions of the self and society are fusing in China.
I agree with your point of view, in China culture there are a large number of feudal and superstitious tradition, the tradition that continues to today, is the people of other countries cannot understand.
I enjoyed reading your paper. I have read a few Chinese zhiguai and ghost stories but your examples provided a depth of understanding. I also really enjoyed reading your examples of first hand experience. It shows that the superstitions are still relevant to today.
